He also drinks a lot and this could be referring to him being 3 bloody mary’s deep at a party of bar or something.

Geo is of Hawaiian decent but went to high school in Bremerton, WA , thus it is the “gap” between his Hawaain ancestry and his college town and home of Seattle.

The previous lines are clearly about the recent economic recession. He’s saying that he’s got to hold on until “they drop those curtains” meaning…the end of the show, or…the end of the economic downturn.

Also, the previous line is referring to how many people said that the recession would be brief. They said it’s a “hold up”; however, Geo believes that it’s not for certain and it could be a sign of the times (the downfall of the American superpower). He references this in a previous line when he says “to thinking this ship is not sinking.”

This is really Big Brother-ish but Geo is claiming that some of American history may have been “re-written” or edited by politicians and historians in order to brainwash the posterity into thinking the country is flawless and superior.

Not many people were literate in the early years of American history…could it really have been fabricated by the few upper class citizens who could read, write, and think?

His rapping is similar to water in that it flows smoothly and is cohesive.

“Be like water” also alludes Bruce Lee’s martial arts philosophy
