It’s a honor that people hear the influence Lauryn has on me, and that I’m even mentioned in the same sentence. But, here will forever only be one Lauryn Hill. I can’t do Lauryn better than Lauryn. I don’t want to. I’m also not the female version of anyone. In the words of Jean Grae “I’m the me version of me”. I can only tell my story in my way.

I don’t want to fall short of not reaching my goals, in relation to the height of gnomes. Gnomes are dwarflike creatures.

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and Graves disease in 2009, and it changed my appearance. I’m still getting used to the change in my eyes and face. But, no one is perfect and I coming to realize that and embrace the changes, and find the beauty in them.

We all have thoughts and feelings we keep to ourselves, but when you drink until you reach the drunken stage it becomes a truth serum. The one and only time I got drunk, I said somethings I wish I could’ve taken back. lol. So, I haven’t been drunk since.

All artist go through this…every artist. We all start somewhere; we grow and build. But, during that process we all have individuals along the way that discourage you, tell you what you can’t do, you’ll never make it, and pass hate (no constructive criticism, but hate!). They surround you with negativity, until you hit your stride, and all your hard work pays off. Then, those same individuals become your biggest fans. This is me getting all that frustration out. Thank you for the extra push.

I don’t want to have any mercy on anyone. I want to make the best music I can and compete at the best of my ability! So, they can’t be saved like that extra hour during daylight savings.
