In September, 2011, Fabolous and singer Ray J got into an altercation in Las Vegas after Fab had performed at the Palms Casino to celebrate a Floyd Mayweather bout. Ray J was allegedly upset over a series of tweets by Fab mocking the singer. Both Ray’s reaction to a little Internet teasing and his heated radio interview after the fight are the reasons for Fab’s “so sensitive” dis here

This section is a dis to NY Jets receiver Plaxico Burress. In June 2011, the NY Daily News published an article about the football star where he claimed that the Fabolous-affiliated Street Family gang was robbing famous people – something they had been accused of before:

Burress is said to have been carrying a gun that night in 2007 as protection against a crew of stickup kids known as the Street Family from around the Brevoort Houses in Brooklyn who started out robbing rap stars and moved on to professional athletes outside Manhattan nightclubs

Fab obviously took none too kindly to this accusation, and answers here. The “Cheddar Bob” line references the fact that, just like the character in Eminem’s movie 8 Mile, Burress accidentally shot himself

The “can’t find a better job” section refers to the fact that during Burress' legal problems stemming from his self-shooting incident, he was released by his then-team, the New York Giants, and had trouble finding a team upon his return from prison, managing to sign only a one-year contract with the Jets

In the 1983 film Scarface, probably the most cited movie in hip hop, Cuban immigrant Tony Montana hustles his way to the top of the coke game (and meets a bad end). Rappers don’t need to have ever dealt drugs to relate to the character.

In the film, Tony Montana sees a Goodyear blimp with the words “The World is Yours” on it. He later has a statue made for his lavish home that features the phrase. NaS famously used it as the title of a track off Illmatic

Homeostasis refers to a self-regulating, stable system. In humans, homeostasis is generally used to describe the body’s ability to maintain balance through all types of complex functions.

Jean emphasizes the first syllable of “homeostasis”, implying that she finds her home through internal balance, mixed with awesome bass riffs and a crucial sentiment famously expressed by Homie D. Clown on In Living Color:
