On the first four lines of this verse, Pusha T adopts a similar flow to Greg Nice on Gang Starr’s “DWYCK”, which uses the same drum sample. The full verse is basically another YMCMB diss

A nice contradiction: although he works so hard that it feels as if he might die, the possibility of success that comes along with it is an alternative to dealing drugs and has saved him from the dangers of the streets.

Bad Boy Records, led by Shyne & Puff Daddy, was set to blow up in 1999, until Shyne was arrested for a shooting. So, now, Pusha & Kanye are going to bring the success that Shyne & Diddy would have if Shyne had stayed out of jail

Shyne was down with Diddy as more than just a rapper, too; he was Puffy’s gunman, and Pusha claims to have the same relationship with ‘Ye. He was also Puffy’s fall guy. He took the rap on the Diddy’s gun charges and did jail time. Pusha is saying he’d do the same for Kanye. See Take One For The Team from the Good Friday series. “Nevermind me, Ye have fun. If the cops ask, that’s my gun, that’s my weed”

Pusha T’s crew has been busted for huge drug dealings before, and supposedly are still dealing.

The word “Supreme” could refer to many things here:

SUPREME is the skate clothing brand that the OFWGKTA camp (who are Pusha’s boys) is known for rocking. SUPREME’s logo is always written in all caps, like the “bold letters” Pusha names.

It could be a reference to Ghostface Killah’s “Supreme Clientele”, which is the album where the sample came from for the hook.

Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff was an infamous NYC drug lord

And of course, Push could just be saying that he’s the best dope dealer

Although Gunplay has been on the rap scene since Triple C’s made their debut in 2005, people are just now catching on to him – but he’s been here.

At a recent MMG group performance, Rozay and his crew were all too eager to shout out their social media usernames, e.g. “follow me on Twitter, ‘rickyrozay,’ and get at me on Instagram, ‘richforever.’”

Gunplay’s lyric exemplifies how rappers have evolved beyond lyricists and turned themselves into media celebrities. He’s saying that MMG members actually spend more time uploading pictures to Instagram than rapping, that’s how they get money these days.

The most important part of being a mother is being a proper role model for your children in every way, which the mother from the first verse failed to do, and influenced her son in the wrong direction simply by singing song lyrics

Note that Lupe also makes a classic rap move here, claiming the win. In doing this he shows he’s criticizing from within the genre. Lupe is a genius at working on a meta level while speaking it plain. The construct Bitches is being dismantled and maintained at the same time—he’s showing he has as much authority as anyone.
