The solider is now in the infirmary being treated for wounds sustained during battle. The difficulty in breathing is a direct result of his injuries (loss of blood), and also the psychological trauma he has been exposed to. In all of the chaos, he calls out, disoriented and confused, “please show me the war”.
Metaphorically
Having witnessed the realities of war firsthand, the absurdity of it is becoming more apparent. His original perception of war was that it was a necessary evil carried out for the greater good. But after experiencing it, witnessing and going through physical trauma’s (struggling to breathe, bleeding out) he’s starting to realise it is far from what he imagined. He desperately wants the justification he originally told himself to be true, and so asks to be shown the war he had been promised.

“Two wills were written on 50 scrolls with a pair of quills” refers to how in the 1700s, maps were often drawn on large scrolls. These scrolls represent maps of the land in America which was divided into 50 states after a clash between the will of the Natives and the will of the Europeans.
“Americause?” is a blend word made up of the words “America/n/s” and “Cause”. Judging from the context in which this is used, we can only assume the question being proposed is one of the following, or maybe all of them:
What caused America?
What is the American cause?“
What did America Cause?”
The reply given by Lupe is a blend word of “America/n/s” and “kills”. The questions and answers are quite possibly simultaneous in which case “America/n Kills” fits each quite nicely.
America was born of citizens killing each other, and are also known throughout the world for being warlike–so one could say their cause is literally murder.

It’s cleverly wrapped up in a metaphor around, a guy brushing passed a girl and wandering why she gave him such a bad look.
The girl represents a part of life he’ll never know or understand. He’d like to try to speak to her and tell her how he feels, but knows that she’d never understand by the way she looks at him.
