Real U makes mention of his childhood friend in Sliverton. They had both lived together in the same complex and grew close together being two of the only boys, of the same age, in the building. Their friendship eventually seized to be after relocating.

His cousin would later move in with his uncle after her completion of high school. Real U remembers in nostalgia the experience he had living there and makes reference to Holllywood, a popular small region of Los Angeles, CA with high-market value and somewhat extravagance.

The main similarity between Hollywood and the location where Real U grew up is the mountain. The house is build in a urban area on the foot of the mountain, from which one overlooks central-eastern Pretoria.

The word ‘ebenezer’ means stone of help. As Real U’s father had built their new house alone, a stone with this inscription was built into a pillar of the house, symbolizing the Lord’s help in the completion of this task which might have seemed impossible over the years. Real U remembers it as being written as ‘ebenhaeser’ – the Afrikaans spelling, as his family is generally Afrikaans speaking.

His uncle later moved into the house after having purchased it from his father upon moving to the West Coast in December of 2009.

Originally Real U lived in Eersterust, a former Coloured-township on the outskirts of Pretoria. His parents owned a house there. Whilst growing up in Sliverton, his father had continued to built the house, laboring alone over the years.

Sliverton is a suburb in eastern Pretoria. This is where Real U grew up before the age of 8.

Pretoria is the administrative capital city of South Africa. Real U was born there on Friday, the 12th of November 1993.

American Christian Rapper, Lecrae. In 2012, Lecrae decided to transfer to the Commercial Hip-Hop scene with his first mixtape ‘Church Clothes’, after 5 studio-albums in the Christian music scene. He then when one to work on his 6th album ‘Gravity’ cathering for both music scenes. The album then became the 2013 Grammy-Award Winning Best Gospel Album.

“The Bible of Christ” is a term often used to refer to the Church. In this piece Real U uses liquor symbolicly but this refers to wine as the blood of Christ.

Real U is inturiged by her and therefore request that they meet during break (better known as reccess in America).

The reason behind this is:

1. At the time, Tha Real U was in Grade 12, senior year of high school. Older boys would usually date younger girls, a few grades down. The younger students however were viewed as childish. In this line Real U says that his friends advise him on her level of maturity.

2. Real U is one of Christian morals. Those without discernment (knowledge between good and bad) after viewed as immature, as they’re still concerned with worldy ways and do not know there proper limits. It is thus suggested that she is knowledgable and meerly lives free from corruptive worldiness.
