Women are generally told to put their feet up in stirrups when seeing their gynecologist, which is a reference to a woman giving birth. It’s a continuation of 2 lines ago when he mentioned an epidural.

It’s also a reference to putting feet in stirrups when you ride horses, so it could be in the sense that shes “riding” their dicks.

People fear his flow (dreaded is a double entendre, one meaning is “feared” and the other is a reference to the hairstyle) compared to “dreads,” the typical hairstyle of a Rastafarian.
This also continues the previous line’s theme of hair (i.e. “angel hair pasta”)
Em’s anger at dreadlocks could also be a Lil Wayne diss. Lil Wayne has dreadlocks and Em’s pasta metaphors could be one-upping Lil Wayne’s “Real G’s move in silence like lasagna”

Regardless, dreads just don’t look right on white people…

The message of this song is to show that the American Dream of Harlem people is to get rich off hustling.

This is the first group Mase and Cam'ron were in, in high school. The group was torn apart by tragedy. Bloodshed, Cam'ron’s cousin, died in a car crash in 1997 and Big L was murdered in 1999

Big L has gotten into a lot of fights and knocked the opponent’s teeth out, so much that the Tooth Fairy (who gives a quarter for every lost tooth) went bankrupt

There are two billion kids on the planet. Each having 20 teeth. That’s 40 billion teeth. at 25 cents a pop, that’s 100 billion quarters, which equates to 25 billion dollars

Damn, L

The heavy use of alliteration of the P’s and B’s are plosives, a poetic device that utilizes short, sharp syllables to create an energetic bouncing phonetic effect. They often symbolize power and anger.

They say pussy and paper is poetry power and pistols
Plotting on murdering motherfuckers ‘fore they get you
Picturing pitiful punk niggas copping pleas
Puffing weed as I position myself to clock G’s

Pockets is packed with presidents, pursue your riches
Evading the playa hating tricks, while hitting switches

Also, the abundance of S’s as well is the use of sibilance. The hissing effect created by it is representative of a snake, a frequent motif related to the Devil in Christianity.

My enemies scatter in suicidal situations
Never to witness the wicked shit that they was facin'
Pockets is packed with presidents, pursue your riches
Evading the playa hating tricks while hitting switches
Bitches is bad-mouth, brawling motherfuckers is bold
But y'all some hoes, the game should be sewed
I’m sick of psychotic society somebody save me

Pac begins his verse sensing that something will kill him, so he plans to get them first. With each couplet, he predicts a different conspirator of his murder. This goes back to the prior Julius Caesar reference, as there had been near 60 perpetrators involved in his death, which Pac can liken himself to with his several adversaries. There may be a thousand possible deaths, but if he’s fearless, he’ll only have to face one of them.

Without any positive family figures, Brenda grew up having no idea that she could do something great with her life and make it out of the ghetto.

These lyrics strongly reference 2Pac’s famous poem, “The Rose That Grew From Concrete”:

Did u hear about the rose that grew from a crack
in the concrete
Proving nature’s laws wrong it learned 2 walk
without having feet
Funny it seems but by keeping its dreams
it learned 2 breathe fresh air
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else even cared!

Children of the Corn was a rap group made up of Cam'ron (then known as Killa Cam), Ma$e (then known as a Murda Ma$e), Herb McGruff, and Bloodshed (Cam’s cousin).

The group was formed by Big L, who encouraged Mase and Cam to get off the street and into the studio (both Cam and Mase were attempting to start basketball careers). The group disbanded after Bloodshed died in a car accident.
