Josh Carter takes the mic from Sarah Barthel for lead vocals on this track for once.

This song is Josh singing about a character (or himself) that has been raised by terrible parents that may have been divorced, therefore destroying his idea of love. His ideal of love has been so destroyed and signified by his parents, that he’ll never go back home because he wants to believe that love is greater than what his life’s experiences have made it seem.

Homme’s disdain for the Grammy’s doesn’t stem from the fact that they didn’t win an award, as much as it’s likely due to the producers cutting away from the Queens of the Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails closing performance.

As the awards show came to a close and the bands were playing together (joined by Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham on guitar and Dave Grohl on drums), the credits began to roll on the screens at Staples Center and the audience started filing out. It was a disrespectful move to say the least and NIN’s Trent Reznor was quick to show his disapproval on Twitter as well:

Check out the 1:44 mark of this video when you can see how the broadcast begins to cut out before the Queens of the Stone Age performance ended:

Throughout the years, Nas remains a hero to true Hip Hop heads. In this tribute, BUA portrays Nas on top of the city from which he comes, having risen above a monolith ghetto to tell its story to the world. In 2013, BUA and NAS came together for a live-painting/concert event in Colorado, inspiring the release of this print.
