The Shins are a seminal indie rock band. Chutes Too Narrow is widely considered to be one of the best albums of the 2000’s. The band gained further notoriety with two of their songs being featured in the Garden State Soundtrack . Here’s the clip from the movie when Natalie Portman, at her very cutest, hands her headphones to Zach Braff and many of us were first introduced to “New Slang.”
