The Darby is a supper club in New York City. From there Jay-Z went on to nightclub 1 Oak. Jay-Z held a party there to celebrate the release of The Blueprint 3 with Rihanna & Justin Timberlake sitting in his VIP booth.
As there are branches of 1 Oak in both NYC and Las Vegas, Jay-Z may have gone almost broke on his night out either from bottle service and/or at the craps table (if he lost at the casino, he literally left the “house”, as the casino is known, with his money).
What he once used to get started in the game, he now spends on a night out.

When Hov is out on the town, he wants the sommelier to dig out a fine example of a Riesling from the cellar. Riesling is white wine typically grown in Germany and the Alsace region of France.
“Flush” evokes a toilet and suggests that he drank so much red wine that his piss could pass for white wine. Urine and white wine have similar colors… even similar pH balances!

Following a crash in July 2000 and the downturn in the aviation industry following 9/11 the supersonic Concorde was retired in 2003. Only 20 aircraft were ever built. It regularly flew from London and Paris to New York & Washington in half the time of regular commercial airliners.
Jay-Z as a world traveller would love for the Concorde to come back into service to cut the amount of time he has to spend in the air.
The Concorde being retired in 2003 and this indicates that Jay-Z has been balling and traveling internationally for years, longer than most people have been in the game, and reminisces about those experiences.

When Hov talks about “weirdos,” he’s talking about the eclectic, almost circus-like panoply of designers, artists, musicians, politicians, chefs, and philosophers that he keeps company with. Let the average “nigga with his trapping ass” pop molly and act a fool. Jay’s got broader horizons and he’s mad cultured. He’s out “blowing a stack” on “tuxes and weird clothes,” weird, because when you’re ahead of the curve, you’re bound to look weird for a while.

It’s clear that the Italian fashion label is still held in high regard by Jay-Z. He even attended a few of the design house’s fashion shows, and has rubbed elbows with head of house Donatella Versace, the sister of late founder Gianni Versace. The Basquiat collab he mentions? Jay copped a painting from Gianni Versace’s personal art collection

Gianni Versace was an avid collector of works by the artist Basquiat. His collection included a number of significant pieces, including one of the the most extensive private collections of the 1980s collaborations between Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
A number of these works were hung at Versace’s Upper East Side home; later being sold at an estate auction by Sotheby’s in 2005 following the fashion designer’s murder in Miami in 1997. Hov bought the 1986 painting “GE (Alert)” by Basquiat and Andy Warhol from Versace’s collection during this auction.
