Ride makes sure his carnal performances and deliveries are felt by every sexual partner and every listener, respectively. This chant compares the music of Death Grips to sex by proclaiming that, when Ride’s done, you will want more.

“Get wetted” could also be “get whetted,” which means to sharpen or hone something, although it also has the sexual connotation of female orgasm.

The 1st track of the Illmatic tribute, Elmatic, “The Genesis” finds eLZhi delivering a blistering verse over Will Sessions' recreation of Grand Wizard Theodore’s “Subway Theme.” eLZhi’s choice to rhyme over the track was motivated by his lingering wish to have heard Nas rhyme on the original album intro.

But because Nas did not rap on his intro, “The Genesis” is the only track on Elmatic that is not burdened by the need to overcome a direct one-to-one comparison to Nas’s original lyrics and performance. And while he opens his verse with a shout out to the legendary rapper, the rest of the song is a pure example of eLZhi doing what he does best.

Elzhi breathes new life into Nas' “Memory Lane”, he gives this song a whole other vibe by flipping the concept:

“The original Illmatic version was basically [Nas] speaking on things in his childhood, but the version that I have I kinda flipped the concept a little bit. I made ‘Memory Lane’ into a place where you couldn’t get there through any public transportation – you had to go inside yourself. The only way you can go inside yourself to go is if you took the mental plane or you took the train of thought. And you can hop on any one of those little transportation joints inside yourself and be right there.”

In an interview with HipHopDX, Elzhi stated that this verse is one of his favorites as well.
