Billy Woods is referring to Hernan Cortes, the famous conqueror of the Aztec Empire.
When Cortes arrived to Mexico the Aztecs are said to have thought he was Quetzacoatl. He used this aura of deity to his advantage in order to lull the Aztecs into a false sense of security. So Billy Woods is referring to himself as gaining the trust of the ‘monsters’ (savages) and then betraying their trust and conquering them and asserting his superiority (like Cortes or an aztec god)
