Chaz depicts a depressing scene: his girlfriend is asleep, on a seemingly important day, which puts stress on her family. They are curious as to her health and well-being and more importantly wondering where her boyfriend is so that he may resolve the situation.
It sounds like the all-time classic being left at the altar. She’s upset he isn’t there so she buries herself under the covers in her room; meanwhile the family takes out their anger on the absent boyfriend, consoles the girlfriend, and hopes that he returns so they can avoid the controversy altogether.
