The movie reference is a part of a double entendres where the hidden meaning (the second meaning) is likely a reference to the popular hiphop conspiracy theory that rappers are often cloned and copies of themselves are put out in episodic manner with a new installment of this new but identical person released when necessary. This theory often suggests that rappers are either made in multiples (or else, simply made many times over) being released into the scene in a series of ever changing or improving versions of the original rapper, much the way television shows have series of episodes where the main characters and core content remains the same even though new variations on these themes are present in each new installment or episode.
