Hilltop Hoods started largely in the Australian underground hip-hop scene and penetrated the mainstream Australian music scene (hence they have come to the surface of the current music landscape). In 2006 they were nominated for five ARIA awards winning in the categories of “Best Urban Release” and “Best Independent Release”

They have paved the way for other hip-hop artists to do the same as well.

This line suggests Soul’s in satisfaction with his life which leads to him having nightmares. Soul quit battle rap because he felt that he wasn’t doing much by making homophobic and immature attacks against his many opponents and also because it is generally hard to become an successful selling artist while also focusing on battle rap.

South reads comments both the positive and negative comments on his videos in order to come to the truth of what he is doing right and wrong.

This line also suggests Soul’s open mindedness not only in terms of rap but in other avenues of knowledge such as politics.

Soul never makes soulless (pardon the pun) or dumbed-down music focusing on petty topics like money, drugs and women in order to reach a wider audience. He focuses on important life topics and issues that garner his own interest.

If he is charged with making such music, Soul would eagerly wait for the sentence so he could be proudly accept his punishment for committing such an act.
