“Breaking the Habit” is the fifth and final single on Linkin Park’s 2003 album, Meteora.

Mike Shinoda wrote the track, inspired by his friend’s drug addiction.

Chester Bennington was unable to perform this live for quite a while. The song made him feel too emotional because of the parallels between himself and the narrator.
