In the grand scheme of things, Lil Wayne is the deciding factor. Play on chain & link. This line groovy as fuck.

Assuming after death is cloud 9-level peace, Lil Wayne has definitely thought about suicide. Also, 2 fingers up can symbolize a gun, or peace, so if he hypothetically kills himself with the gun, he’ll be in peace. Haven’t all us thinkers thought this?

Under banana trees you would find peels of eaten bananas. Wayne finds the fact artists make music for the vanity appealling. Huge wordplay with peels. The “love” maybe relates to the reason he makes music, for the true love of the art.

Artists mainly make music for the money these days, not for the true origins of the art.

It may also be referring to the previous line. Him and his girl have sex for themselves which isn’t doing anything to help the corrupt state of humanity which the song is about.

He’s referencing sex here he’s having sex with his girlfriend for the hell of it and because it makes him look cool(vanity) not to reproduce (humanity)

Her poontang is sweet! The pun here is that sweet and sugar-rich food causes cavities, or so they say. They also say fluoride is good for you, but some say otherwise

The term “food for thought” is to represent knowledge that one should consider carefully, and learn about, Weezy is guilty of over-consumption, he thinks too much. He did this because his mother always told him to take what he wants, and he listened.

If you listen to the song closley with headphones theres no “d” at the end. And taking someones life fits better with “mama said take what you want”. This is Lil Wayne, guns and killing people is what he is all about!

I believe Lil Wayne is saying, “Mama said take what you want, I TOOK HE” as if he killed someone, took a life. Take heed just doesn’t fit.

Heed refers to the point that Wayne will always be alert of everything surrounding him.

You can be involved with his life, but you can’t lead it and make decisions for him. He’s the star in this movie.

Fitting in with the scheme of this song, life is unpredictable. Butterflies symbolize rebirth, the stages of life, and unpredictability. In this case, Wayne hypothetically died, presumably in accord to the hook’s sudden death theory.

Technically, the album cover is a moth. The butterfly line rather than moth shows that even the most evil of beings can change, showing that the once evil person in hell turned into a more pure butterfly.

Naw, I just think your stretching it too far. I think Wayne was just simply stating there is beauty in hell.

Stars are supposed to shine, but the ones on the flag aren’t. This could also mean the states represented by the stars aren’t shining and representing the country. Maybe we should get a chrome white paint on them?

Also a way of saying that America is in many aspect a dirty country. All the dirt hides the beauty of the stars.

This godless, unholy place needs blessing, as the unstable people living in it can die any time, even within the hour. No day is promised.

This God bless/Godless America idea has been used before, most notably by Atmosphere in “Trying to Find a Balance”:

Somebody give me a big yes
God bless America, but she stole the “b” from “bless” (and kept it)
