This album started my love for hip hop. I remember the first video I ever watched. It was Nothin But A G Thang. Everyone that contributed to this album gets my respect. From the engineer to Snoop’s weedman. The production is undeniable. This album is timeless. I will still listen this album when I’m 60-70 years old.

Favorite Songs: Stranded on Death Row, Let Me Ride, Lyrical Gangbang

I remember the first time I saw Biggie on TV. The video Juicy came on Rap City. My sister had the original copy of the Ready To Die and somebody stole her copy. I was upset about that because I never got a chance to really listen to Ready To Die as a kid. The same thing happened to my sister’s Life After Death CD as well. The first time I listened to Ready To Die was when I was sixteen. I just remember the album blowing me away. His storytelling is crazy. I like the lyrical miracle rap but I love those stories too! Easy Mo Bee killed the production on the album. He’s so underrated as a producer. He doesn’t get enough recognition like Dre or Premo. Biggie is one of the greatest to ever do it.

Favorite Songs: Ready To Die, The What, Unbelievable

This was an complete album. This album was like a movie. I like this album better than Illmatic. Illmatic was fire but it was too short. I love those albums that tells a story to the listener. Nas is on my top 5 dead or alive list.

This is one of those albums that are essential to my childhood. My cousins from Cleveland had this tape and they let me have it. I played the hell out of this album. Dr. Dre is a genius. Snoop had a great voice at this time. The production of Dre and the rap style of Snoop matched so well.

Favorite Songs: Pump Pump, Serial Killa, The Shiznit

Big Boi and Dre will be the best duo ever. I know people put ATLiens or one of their other albums on their top 10. This is my favorite album of theirs. They were 19-20 years old when they created this album which is crazy. Organized Noize killed the production too!

Favorite Songs: Clamin True, Call of the Wild, Aint No Thang

Havoc and Prodigy were epic on this album. When I hear Mobb Deep spit, I can see myself in Queensbridge witnessing everything that they talk about. The production and the lyrics were A-1. I remember watching the video Shook Ones for the first time on Rap City.
