I have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia, so often, the things I “see” are very real to me. Many times, it has driven a wedge between me and a friend.

I hide the person I really am because I have been bullied most of my life. I have also seen people be bullied with similar situations to mine, so to avoid losing my mind over bullying a second time, I just put on a facade

I believe that someday, you meet the person that, if you made no wrong choices in your life, you would be. I am attempting to depict that I will not find this exact person until I die.

I have severe depression. I was doing very well, unmedicated, for months on end. And then my Junior year of high school started and the stress got to me. I have now relapsed deeply multiple times.

When I wake up, I am arisen to the fact that dreams are only pigments of your imagination and that they may become true someday, but it is rare that it is immediate.

Behind every feeling, there is a secret prevailing emotion right behind it. I display love to almost everyone I see, because I know how far hate can drive a person. And I have many stories and battle scars from how far hate has taken people that I love or me.

This is just a simple reference to the TV show Murder, She Wrote, which was on air from 1984-1996.

I wanted to feel a release and the bleeding helped me achieve that forbidden release. This release is the strongest desire a depressed person will ever feel.

This poem goes against what you were taught about depression, so you don’t know how to respond to it. Society has become very close-minded when it comes to ideas that contradict what we were taught.

With the invention of Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook, cases of cyber-bulling and subsequently the rate of suicide increased.
