I went and I Googled everybody that got killed by the police since 2015. I was seeing a gang of names and I was just going off the young people that got killed, on some innocent shit. They ain’t have no weapon. It’s so many people that get killed every day by the police. That shit is wild. Me and the homie was looking at that shit some months ago. I added that piece on the song, the day I turned my album in. I was out here. And I was at the studio mastering the album and I had to voice record that part over my phone because he didn’t have a set up to record.

So I voice recorded that shit. And he just put it on the song at the end. But yeah, I did that at the last minute. I wanted to make sure it meant everything. So yeah, I did that. But we were on the site just looking at everybody that got murdered or killed by the police. Shit is sick, dog. It’s deep. That shit wicked.

When it first started happening—the Mike Brown situation, Eric Garner—I was always feeling some type of way about that. We was talking about it and then I started working on the album. Then Hit-Boy came and he played the record. I’m like “Oh I got something for this!” When I hear the music, it brings certain shit out of me.

I was already feeling a certain type of way about all that shit, so I just had a moment to speak on it. And it felt real. If I wouldn’t have heard that beat, that probably wouldn’t have came out a nigga. I did that record last March. People wanted me to put it out because shit kept happening. Police kept killing innocent people. So they was like, “You need to put the record out” and I’m like “Nah. I’m not trying to put it out just to capitalize on what’s going on at the time.” That ain’t what I’m on. So I held the record back. I was about to put it out like three times. I’m like, “Nah. Leave this shit for the album.”

Secret Service called in to Universal. I don’t want no letters from the FBI. That life is over for me. I’m a fuckin' square.

That’s just some extra loud gangbang shit. When you hear somebody talking like that, it’s like, “Oh yeah he got extras. He’s really on some shit. He’s one of the dudes who probably be tripping the most.” That’s all it is. I come up with this. I ain’t create it. I just put it in a light. Because of what I do. But it’s way before my time.

I got the Maybach. I just had the S600 or some shit. Then after I got shot, we was driving to the hospital, got in a car accident, totaled that joint. It was brand new. So after that joint, I got the Maybach. I’m like “Fuck it. I’m about to get the big boy.”

It ain’t too many young niggas with Maybachs sliding around, period. It’s only 2015 and 2016 Maybachs. It’s a lot of people sliding around in Ghosts and other whips, because you can get a 2010, 11, or 12 for the low. You can’t get this one for the low. [Laughs]

I’m just poppin' shit, you know. I don’t really do that a lot, though. I ain’t that type of dude. I ain’t a shit talker.

That’s real life. Homies gonna do that. “Aye, you know this one? She’s from your area. What’s happenin'?” And it’s either ‘yeah’ or it’s ‘nah’. Or the homie did that. I ain’t do it. That’s just regular nigga shit.

I hit him and told him I had a record I wanted him to hear and see if he fucked with. He was like, “Send it to me.” I sent it to him and he hit me like, “I fuck with this shit. This is an anthem. I got you.” He was supposed to be turning his album in, so he really wasn’t supposed to be doing nothing. It was at the last minute. But he got the verse out the way, just like that. It’s just like a respect thing. Bro fucks with what I do. He knows I got my side on lock.
