“Video” is a statement on the importance of staying true to one identity—that femininity and sense of self aren’t determined by material things, but in who you are and what you believe is most important in the world.

A presidential supercut of Jay-Z’s “99 Problems,” this video was made by (liberal?) remix artist Diran Lyons to express his disappointment with President Obama (though it is in no way a pro-Romney video).

“Let me be clear” is a phrase Obama has used repeatedly in speeches. The use of the “uh” is also a reference to Obama’s signature filler word.

The Romney campaign ran a misleading ad regarding President Obama and current welfare statistics; when confronted by the media about fudging the data, Romney pollster Neil Newhouse famously responded with “We’re not going to let our campaign be dictated by fact-checkers.” The implication was that the campaign would say whatever they thought would work in order to win the election

Case and point: the Jeep ad implying that American jobs were being shipped to China when that wasn’t the case

Much of the groundswell that lifted Obama during the 2008 election was that he would bring hope and change to the culture of D.C. politics.

Lincoln thinks Obama has good intentions, but insults him for failing to accomplish all that he set out to do in his first term and not living up to the uplifting tone with which he hoped to govern. Whether that’s his fault or the fault of Congress is a debate best held someplace other than here.

Chicago (the Windy City) is Obama’s adopted hometown (he was born in Hawaii…just so we’re clear)

Romney is criticizing those who support Obama without fully understanding the politics behind his actions, as well as making wordplay with the “windy city” by using the word “blowhards” to describe said followers.

“Blowhards” may also refer to Obama’s White House staff, a great many of whom came to D.C. from Chicago to continue working with the president after his election

A fantastic pun on Romney’s first name, calling attention to the belief that Romney would say whatever he thought his Republican base would like the best, even when it meant that he was flip-flopping on the issues to an almost unbelievable degree; he was merely a sock puppet which they (Republicans) controlled as they willed

January 20th is the Constitutionally mandated day wherein the President begins his term of office. Romney basically asserts that he’ll win in November, kicking Obama out the White House and putting him into the ranks of the homeless and unemployed (except not really) like so many Americans who fell on hard times during the financial crisis

There’s no reason to suspect that IRL Obama isn’t really respectful of all religions: his international upbringing and family heritage exposed him to many communities and schools of faith (though he eventually settled on Christianity).

In the early days of the Mormon church the practice of polygamy (having more than one wife) was a common amongst practitioners, mainly marriage was the only way for women to have some measure of property rights and standing and the LDS population was so small after their trek across the states.

However, after the United States outlawed polygamy (having more than one spouse of either gender) this practice fell out of favor. Some fundamentalist LDS groups still allow for the practice of polygamy, inspiring such shows as TLC’s Sister Wives and HBO’s Big Love.

A Super PAC is a political action committee (PAC) that can raise an unlimited amount of money from corporations, people, etc. and use that money to promote (or oppose) candidates and issues

There were a number of Super PACs that donated money to try and influence elections during the 2012 election year. Romney had a dedicated Super PAC called Restore Our Future

In addition, Romney’s vast personal wealth and a huge contact base of wealthy donors means that he has an ample supply of cash with which to conduct his campaign
