The song is built on the drum beat from Double Dee and Steinski’s “Lesson 3” – which itself is a sample of Led Zeppelin’s “The Crunge,” making Pos’s claim of “no rock and roll” deeply and probably unintentionally ironic – and heavily samples/interpolates Bob Dorough’s “Three is a Magic Number” from ABC’s “Schoolhouse Rock.”
