Even though Nat is a fiend for rap, he hasn’t been in a shoot out like the fiend who dropped his brew in Nas' story.

“20 Something” serves as the outro for the same titled project “Natural” dropped on 9/11/2012. The song fuses together many of the themes found throughout the project.

The overall scope of the track focuses on 3 major points. The first verse explores love and heartbreak in this day and age. The tough questions and answers of choosing between someone you love and a lifestyle you love lead.

The second explores themes of family, loyalty and crime. The struggle of this day in age with the economy and the tougher choices people need to select. I have clearly chosen a life without crime, though remain a stone throw away from it.

The third culminates with the idea of hip-hop as a philosophy and a career. It again visits the themes of the economy, however, through the scope of a struggling artist. The verse serves as an acknowledgement of the lifestyle and an acceptance. I am here to do this the right way.

In Monopoly on XXX, Danny starts the song off with

“The Hybrid smoking on Papaya"…,

Meaning “Hey, it’s Danny Brown and I’m smoking some weed”.

This time I think Danny is more like “Hey, it’s Danny Brown, and I’ve been doing this for so long that it’s like I wrote my nickname in this ancient Egyptian typeface, Papyrus.

When he released Papyrus in 1982, Chris Costello described his goal was a font that would represent what English language texts would have looked like if written on papyrus 2000 years ago.

He also said he wasn’t dissing anyone in particular.
