What on earth was Dossena thinking?! This isn’t a tackle, it’s a fucking hammerfoot. David Meyler had to be substituted due to the injury it caused, and it was a straightforward red card decision.

Arsenal had seemed content to play conservatively and defend their lead, but this stunning goal allowed them the benefit of comfort.

Ramsey is in unbelievable form this season, and the confidence he has in himself right now ebbs through this goal. One touch is needed to settle it, and the volley perfectly dips and swerves over Simon Mignolet.

Santi Cazorla has a powerful header for such a little man. His Suarez-esque thump hits the post, but the rebound is kind to him and he tucks it away past the floored Mignolet.

Norwich manager Chris Houghton has seen his share of scrutiny so far this season, and he can have no excuses for this abject display.

The build up to the match focused on the dropping of City keeper Joe Hart, who has been usurped from his previously-secure position after a series of costly errors. His replacement Costel Pantillimon barely had to do a thing all match as City ran riot, scoring seven goals through six different scorers plus an own goal. Norwich meanwhile managed just one on-target shot in ninety minutes.

All eyes are on Fulham manager Martin Jol right now. His Fulham side are under intense scrutiny after earning just ten points in ten matches, and they were knocked out of the League Cup by Championship side Leicester. This defeat won’t help, even though it’s against a top side. Fulham’s fixture list doesn’t get any easier with Liverpool facing them next week, so to take a point here would’ve eased the pressure.

United blew Fulham away with a brilliant first-half performance. They scored three well-worked goals in thirteen minutes, burying the match before Fulham even got started.

Begović? Yeah, Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begović scores goal just after 12 second. No need for words, just watch:

For the record, this isn’t the fastest ever Premier League goal. That honour goes to Ledley King, who scored ten seconds into Tottenham’s match against Bradford in 2000. It is, unsurprisingly, the quickest goal scored by a keeper. Begovic joins Brad Friedel, Tim Howard, Peter Schemiechel and Paul Robinson in the history books of goalkeepers to score in the Premier League.

BTW, he didn’t celebrate goal because goalkeepers respects eachother and do not celebrate mistakes when they do it.

Surely the surprise result of the weekend, this, and a huge one for both clubs. Newcastle were under pressure after losing their local derby last week, and Geordie papers launched front-page damnation of the club’s ownership.

It’s a win that lifts spirits massively, just as beating Chelsea in this same fixture did earlier in the year. Chelsea could’ve done without this setback. In a weekend when their top of the table rivals have tough fixtures, they would’ve looked upon this as a three-point banker. It’s their first loss since September.

After the first goal Newcastle only got stronger, and they finished the match off with a wonderful team goal. Several deft passes take out the defence in the wide areas, before Vernon Anita skips free and cuts it back to Remy, who fires it home off the post.

After dominating the first half and failing to carve out many decisive chances, Chelsea get punished midway through the section via a set piece.

Yohan Cabaye’s delivery is phenomenal, and has a bit of everything needed to be deadly. It’s hit flat, hard and with enough curve to take it perfectly onto the head of the onrushing Gouffran.

One of Britain’s most fierce derby matches comes to the top flight for the very first time. The vitriol between the fans of these two clubs is not to be underestimated. Unfortunately, Cardiff City’s controversial foreign owner doesn’t quite buy the hype. In fact, he doesn’t seem to get football whatsoever:

I don’t understand why they are so upset with each other, I would like to really welcome them here, we should give them as warm a welcome as possible and when we go there we want them to give a warm welcome.

This rivalry transcends sport and goes right down to the home side’s status as the capital city and the away side’s perception of them being unfairly left out of government and finance as a result.
