Jermaine Dupri is known to sign preteen rappers such as Kriss Kross and Bow Wow, and often gets mocked by associates of Eminem, such as in “Say What U Say”.

Lil Bow Wow was signed by Dupri when he was only 11, and Bizarre is saying that he might not just have signed Bow Wow for his rapping skills…

Kuniva will always be loyal to the streets of Detroit.

The word “niece” here is masked over here with a scream. This may be due the then-recent occurrence of the Columbine High School Shootings, which meant that D12 had to censor any reference that suggested violence against children. Other instances of this on Devil’s Night include Kon Artis’s verse on “Pistol Pistol” and Proof’s on “Purple Pills”.

Uptown is Harlem and Washington Heights, definitely not tourist zones.

“Downtown” New York is in the middle and southern parts of Manhattan.

Queensbridge Houses is the largest public housing development in North America. It is a 3,142-unit in New York. Regular drug busts are made there and it is known as a poverty-filled ghetto. From there, is Nas, Cormega, Mobb Deep, MC Shan, and many, many more.

Fort Greene, Brooklyn is home to the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Brooklyn Music School, The Paul Robeson Theater, The Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts, and many other performing arts academies. Because of this, many writers and poets have come from there. Rappers from Fort Greene include El-P, Ol' Dirty Bastard, and Popa Wu.

Possibly a reference to an effort to demonstrate how Cabrini-Green was safer, when then-Chicago Mayor Jane Byrne moved into a fourth-floor apartment with her husband in 1981. Although heavily guarded with police and bodyguards, the couple had to leave after three weeks because it was simply too dangerous. This gave Cabrini-Green an even worse reputation.

Black Thought is from South Philly, Meek Mill is from North Philly, Asher Roth is from the suburbs not Philly & there’s no such thing as East Philly. Schoolly D is from 52nd and Parkside in West Philly & Will Smith is from the Wynnefield neighborhood of West Philly.
