A judge ordered that Marshall no longer mention his ex wife by name in his music, to maintain civility in the interest of his daughters. In 2000, Kim slit her wrists after Eminem performed ‘Kim’ at a Detroit concert after promising Kim he wouldn’t perform the song in Detroit shows. This is why her name was backmasked.

Ghostly footsteps can be heard as the track ends. Also at the beginning of “Still Don’t Give a Fuck”, the next and final track on the album, you can still (no pun intended) hear the footsteps as if Eminem is walking on the boardwalk like the album cover suggests until he says:

Is it just me or is there a fart noise between the “shh” and the “wait” ? I’m actually not sure because it’s a weird sound but that would actually make a lot of sense: the fart being usual joke material for Slim, it’s a proof that he’s here !

While Em claimed on Recovery that his previous album Relapse was bad, here he is putting that sentiment in the mouth of a bitchy woman

This might suggest that he only called Relapse bad to appease his fans that hated it (notably, women and girly men), and doesn’t believe it himself

This is also a clever wordplay. ‘'I snapped’‘ refers to two things. First off, the more obvious meaning, he lost his cool and got mad. But there’s also another, more hidden meaning. The Relapse CD cover has his face on it so he literally 'snapped’.

We find that Em adopted a Relapse-like accent so that he could make a joke where he mispronounces “can’t” as “cunt.”

He also used this cunt/can’t wordplay in “Cinderella Man.”

On this line, he is actually bringing the accent back, like he said the line before.

When she says “Marshall,” using his birth name, she is attempting to appeal to him as a person instead of the Eminem/Evil persona, going on in the chorus to say he’s just pretending to be the mysogynistic asshole he’s acting like
