He’s searching for a reason why he’s living. A “theme” as he calls it.
He’s staring at the world passing him by.
He’s getting older. Shaky hands are a symptom of prolonged alcohol abuse. Many alcoholics have to a have a drink in order to stop their hands from shaking.
Having to stop drinking and face his problems stresses him out.
He’s not ready to stop what he’s been doing up until this point.When he looks out at the world around him, he doesn’t feel like he’s able to handle what he knows he needs to do in his life.
His body aches and his breath smells of alcohol.
His mother wants him to pursue an education instead of drinking to which he replies that won’t take my pain away.
His mom has been calling him basically telling him to get his life together.
He’s so wasted that he’s not sure where he is OR he’s not sure where he smashed up his phone.
And has no more google maps!
