I’m sorry but I actually just read this. That’s how badly I’m procrastinating this stats homework

Well what about the other 856,732 people who have tweeted similar things? Crowell expressed the way he felt from the actions of police officers who are supposed to be protecting him and everybody else. I’m just saying if all those black men weren’t shot and killed by police officers Crowell would not have tweeted what he tweeted. So this falls back on Mr Loomis actually. This was caused by what he is a part of. If he and his staff maybe did a better job of mending the wounds that Crowell and many other black men were suffering from after two consecutive police shootings there would be no backlash towards them. But instead now they’re playing the victim???

He goes on to to compare the tweet to an image of a black person being hung in the 60s. That to me is jaw dropping. That actually happened. Crowell’s tweet was just a spur of the moment reaction that is now since deleted, and there was an apology for. You can’t delete slavery! You can’t delete the Jim Crow Laws! And you also can’t delete the killings of Alton Sterling or Philando Castile. This to me is shameful. The Browns already said they aren’t cutting him. As of now, the Browns are okay with how Crowell handled. Same thing with the NFL.

I almost hope that this article is not completely true, or maybe some quotes are taken out of context. I just don’t like what I’m reading here. Isaiah Crowell isn’t even a prominent figure in the NFL. He’s a middling running back on a team that has gone through so much trouble with players off the field. The Browns don’t deserve this. I want the police offers to be in the stadium when the Browns play because that just isn’t right.

And after rereading this article I see that mr Loomis wants Crowell to go down to Dallas and apologize/donate to the families of the police officers that were killed even though his tweet came a day before that happened. Nonsensical. I hope this isn’t true.

I also don’t mean to offend anybody. I’m just expressing myself and will gladly delete all of this if somebody thinks it’s offensive.

New rules state that intentionally fouling during the last 2 minutes of quarters is now prohibited.

I’m personally not a fan of this, although I don’t believe adding an extra 4 minutes of relief for atrocious free throw shooters affects the game very much. What bothers me is that the NBA is making rules based on entertainment and not on how the game was meant to be played. Free throws were supposed to be easy. Just because some people can’t make them doesn’t mean they should get special treatment. Playing Andre Drummond when you need to score used to be a risk. He could get intentionally fouled since he sucks at free throws. But he also is a beast on both ends of the floor and one of the best rebounders in the league. That was your tradeoff. You run the risk of him getting fouled and missing both, but at the same time you have a stellar player on the floor. And also intentionally fouling means that somebody has to pick up a foul. Players can foul out so the opposing team has to use a player that he may not want to use but has a low number of fouls so it evens out.

Basically casual NBA fans are sick of seeing big men getting fouled when they’re 80 feet from the basket and missing their free throws so they change the channel or complain or whatever they’ve been doing. But intentionally fouling is a strategic plan in a sport, and without strategies you’re left with unorganized street ball.

I’m not saying that the extra 4 minutes of no intentionally fouling is ruining the NBA or anything. All I’m saying is that rule changes like these that deter from coaches using game theory to gain an advantage go against what sports are all about in general. It’s not supposed to be whatever is most marketable is what is going to happen. It shouldn’t be about that. The NBA makes enough money to remain true to what it stood for in the very beginning.

Exhibit A as to why they’re changing the rule

To me it’s just pathetic. Even in big moments I’d love to get sent to the free throw line. Every single eye is on you as you do what you’ve practiced thousands of times. It’s almost robotic. It should not be a challenge whatsoever.

Don’t make excuses in the NFL please Karlos Williams. You’re pretty good. Just brush off the negativity and do the talking with performance. This is just stupid.

So far the 4 articles I have read about Buffalo this offseason are as follows: Sammy Watkins breaking his foot, Shaq Lawson needing surgery and will miss half the season, Bills GM describing football as ‘not a game humans should be playing’, and this.

It’s safe to say that my expectations for the Bills this season are not very high.

Major L for Bismack Biyombo here because on the game last night they were saying that Biyombo said that Mutombo granted him permission to use his trademark finger wag and the commentators talked about it for a total of 5 minutes probably. I don’t know who was wrong here, whether something that wasn’t true was reported or if Biymobo straight up lied about talking to Mutombo, but this just adds an unneeded distraction to a Raptors team in a good position. Hopefully he stops doing it because, me personally, I think that copying a legend’s celebration when you haven’t had close to half as impactful career as him is bogus.

This should become the new go-to excuse for mediocrity.

Reporter: “How come the Bills haven’t made the playoffs in over 15 years”

GM: “Well football isn’t a game humans should be playing, you see”

All jokes aside, I get Doug Whaley’s point. I just think that was a stupid thing to say. He’s not necessarily correct. People get the same injury that Sammy Watkins has from things other than football quite frequently. And not to mention players in the NFL are in better shape than 99% of other humans. So, I just think that what Whaley said was pointless and doesn’t make as much sense as he probably thought it would.

Roughned Odor is a third year, 22 year old second baseman for the Texas Rangers. He’s been playing well thus far this season but will more than likely face a significant suspension for his act in Sunday’s brawl.

The Blue Jays and Rangers have formed a rivalry after Jose Bautista’s bat flipping incident last postseason. Earlier in today’s game Bautista was hit by hard throwing reliever Matt Bush. After reaching base, a Justin Smoak ground ball sent him to second and despite getting out, his slide forced Odor into a bad throw to prevent the double play. Odor was not thrilled with that slide and as you can see below, things quickly got hostile.
