the line actually is
“un desierto embriagado con peyote, un trago de pulque para cantar con los coyotes"
"a desert drunk with peyote, a shot of pulque to sing with the coyotes” this could be referencing the peruvian and chilean deserts like the atacama where they have coyotes, and also a mention of the “coyotes” that take mexicans and other latinamericans across the us/mexico border

It actually says “Un desierto embriagado con peyote” Peyote is a common drug tied to a spiritual tradition for many native latinamericans.
