These three lines are all related to bears. Bi-polar disorder is a mood disorder. However, Eminem is referencing the polar part of the word which is also used for polar bears. Since the girl is bi-polar(bear), there is no point in getting her a teddy (bear). And he is already on his straight grizzly (bear).

Also, “gay ass teddy bear” is juxtaposed with “bi-polar” and “straight grizzly” to form a bit of wordplay with sexual orientation. A homosexual teddy bear and a bisexual polar bear. Em refers to himself as straight (heterosexual) grizzly (bear). 3-way cleverness.

The “bi” in bipolar is also a bit of wordplay – a homonym for buy – as if she has already bought a polar bear.

Eminem once bleached his hair, but stopped to do it after his comeback, because he wanted to have a new image and associated his bleached hair with drugs. (On MMLP2 he bleached it again, though, because it was a revisitation to the first MMLP)

Ever since his comeback, some fans wanted him to do drugs again and rap like he did before. This is a shot at them, saying that he wouldn’t even dye his hair again, not even going as far as talking about drugs.

Also lovers constantly say how they would die for each other but Eminem is saying the complete opposite. This girl’s life isn’t worth his. He goes one step further by saying he wouldn’t do anything for this girl, even the physical act of dying, in terms of changing hair colour, even if she was bleach and that was her sole job.

  1. Fritos is a brand of corn chips, quite possibly the ultimate junk food. Eminem is saying this girl isn’t worth even a pack of chips.
  2. He then flips this with the double meaning: a chip on one’s shoulder refers to someone being angry and ready to pick a fight.
  3. This could well be the elusive triple entendre, as the word “chip” ties with ‘high roller’, a gambler who consistently wagers large amounts of money.
