Reiterating the statement made in the previous line, Cayea creates a marriage metaphor for his songs where he claims to kill every verse (husband) leaving the instrumentation (wife) grieving.
But I’m big when the track bangs, that’s no riddle Cayea – In My World
Believed to be an explosion that created the known universe, the big bang is currently the most commonly accepted theory explaining how we got here. Cayea points out that the daunting comprehension of this idea can cause one to feel minuscule in the grand scheme of things (and this isn’t the first time he’s done it.)
Although the riddle of what lies beyond the universe is currently unanswerable, Cayea presents a haughty concept that reoccurs throughout The Curve: his lyrical greatness. Also notice the wordplay of big and bang in the second line.
Genetically Modified Organisms, or G.M.O.s are organisms (such as bacteria, plants, or animals) whose genomes have been modified through genetic engineering. The term G.M.O. has become popularized in the agriculture/farming industry due to their utilization by Monsanto: a corporate agribusiness power house that dominates the farming industry by patenting G.M.O.’s and selling them to farmers.
Because G.M.O.s are not natural Cayea compares them to your flow, implying that it’s lack of authenticity exposes you as a poser.
Cayea makes a play on two of the three major genres of plays in ancient Greek theatre:
comedy,
and tragedy.
Alchemy is an ancient form of scientific practice in which the alchemist attempts to turn base metals into silver, or gold.
Though it is believed that, as a protoscience, alchemy lent a hand in the advancement of what is modern day chemistry, it was never successful in achieving it’s initial goal of creating noble metals. It is widely known that those that practiced alchemy were hermetics, whose religious and philosophical views included magic and astrology.
Cayea parallels his chemistry, or energy, with this old tradition, claiming it’s of a magical nature and that you should stop hatin' because of it.
