The Holy Grail is a sacred object, often believed to be a cup or challis. If you’ve seen Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade you’ll be familiar with the theory that it was a cup that Jesus Christ himself made and drank from. This theory concludes that if you find it and drink from it, you will be given immortality.
Thus, Blitz is implying that these others who think they are immortal, are sipping the “false cup” and are not. In fact, they are doing just the opposite.

The Plague tells the story of a group of troubled adolescents stuck in a wasteland-esk world filled with anarchical philosophies and drug-induced complacency. To describe this world Cayea continually references the black death of the 14th century, a bacterium/plague that claimed more than 350 million lives. He uses this pandemic as a metaphor for the self-medicating mentality the narrator battles with.
