The logic is a bit more complex for the second chorus. It’s suppose to represent being in an on/off relationship, but coming back to that person for the wrong reasons. This is specifically about coming back to someone because you’re comfortable with them, and it’s easier to stay than to go as the line preceding the chorus implies. He knows her better than other girls.

Her response on the surface is innocent and understanding but, as the next line explains, she really isn’t okay with a break. In other words, she’s being sarcastic in her response to him wanting to “take a break.”

Here is where Senim tells us how long he was in jail for, which is years. His description of the seclusive nature of jail subtly implies his appreciation for natural elements (specifically those of a celestial nature) that, perhaps, we as free members of society take advantage of.

If you’ve seen Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade you’ll be familiar with the theory that it was a cup that Jesus Christ himself made and drank from. This theory concludes that if you find it and drink from it, you will be given immortality.

Thus, Blitz is implying that these others who think they are immortal, are sipping the “false cup” and are not. In fact, they are doing just the opposite.

The Plague tells the story of a group of troubled adolescents stuck in a wasteland-esk world filled with anarchical philosophies and drug-induced complacency. To describe this world Cayea continually references the black death of the 14th century, a bacterium/plague that claimed more than 350 million lives. He uses this pandemic as a metaphor for the self-medicating mentality the narrator battles with.

After checking into rehab in January of 2014, pop singer Kesha requested her fans' send teeth for her to make “art with.”

The rehab center wouldn’t allow the acceptance of any teeth but apparently she successfully did the same thing back in 2012. Her teeth obsession also manifested itself in her Charles Albert jewelry line.
