Here, Ka is assuming that everyone listening to his music knows about the struggles of both the outside world and sometimes in the home place. He assumes this because it has become a cliche to rap about struggles in life as many rappers around today talk about it hence the words he raps “You know the saga,” Like other rappers in the game, Ka struggled out on the streets but felt even more in danger when he was at home.

Ka has worked very hard to perfect his craft as a lyricist. He always focuses on every tiny detail that goes into his lyrics and every letter is placed perfectly into the song. Ka is letting his listeners know that you need to “stay sharp” in order to pick up on the messages he puts out because his lyrics are more meaningful and harder to understand than the average listener would think.

Clear Urine is an indication that someone has been drinking a lot of water. Mick Jenkins is saying that water is the most essential element in the world and it is something that we all aim to receive which is why he takes advantage of having water available by drinking lots of it. Clear Urine could metaphor for reaching his ultimate goal or knowing what to do to reach that goal which is to get well known in the rap game.

Mick: The Water[s] is supposed to be representative of…we need water, our world needs water, our bodies need water, it’s probably the most essential element to life. And I feel like, with my ultimate goal being heaven, so is truth and spiritual truth. So it’s just a loose metaphor in that manner.

Mick drops this line on multiple other songs too

This is a reference to Thor who is the demi-god superhero created by the comic book and film company “Marvel”. He was well known for wielding a powerful hammer known as “Mjolnir”. Thor is from “Asgard” which is a fictional land in the Marvel universe inspired by the Norse mythology. In Norse mythology, Asgard is one of nine worlds, and home to the Æsir; a tribe of gods. Thor is one of the Æsir.

This is a continuation from the previous line about the sins involved in the drug trade. Isaiah is assuring his listeners that these acts are sinful and morally wrong and if you don’t believe Isaiah, then ask God or Thor and they will tell you the same thing. This also shows that it doesn’t matter what you believe in whether it be the traditional Christian God or a God from Norse mythology, there are standard morals which are shared by everyone no matter what your beliefs are.
