Because if you’re dealing with some things in your inside and you want to overcompensate, or you kind of want to show her that you not tripping because you are tripping so much, you probably would do something like that. “No, go over there, I don’t care!” But it’s really like, “You really going? You might really do it? Damn. You don’t really want to do it.” So you know, it’s left for interpretation on that line for sure.

If I call you my girlfriend, what is it going to change? You been that bitch, you been that queen to me, you been that special to me regardless if I call you this, I’m just going to call you this for decoration. I’m trying to call you something ain’t here. So what good is a title when shawty been the wave.

Every man has been there. You call a girl, you know she out with her friends, and maybe the club is over at 2:00, 2:45, and they not answering the phone, and it’s ringing two and a half times, and you know you getting banged on. It’s like, “What is happening?” That’s enough to scar somebody. It’s an immature way of thinking in a lot of ways. The healing. My biggest enemy was getting banged on at 2:30, 3:00.

It’s really an open-ended question. “Who you really like? We might not be able to be together, but who do you really like?” “Who you want to pull up with? Who don’t care who you dating?” Like who? I don’t care who you dating as long as you care and you trust him. Give me your trust. I’m not really, at this point I’m not checking for who you dealing with because you occupy this space in my heart and I’m don’t want to be selfish.

The older you get, the more you realize, “Damn, I really was dealing with somebody for X amount of time, and I never felt the way this person made me feel in three days,” you know what I’m saying? It’s just a feeling, bro. And I don’t think it’s really easily defined.

That come from the great Tupac Shakur. “Girl, it’s all right baby, because it’s there in your eyes.” It stood out for me. Jon B featuring Tupac. That was one of the most underrated songs of the 90’s to me. It was Pac laying it down. I believe he starts the second verse in the song like that, and I just always thought that it was real smooth. I just paid homage to one of the greatest of all time, and setting a tone for where I’m going on the record.
