KRIT sets about listing some reasons he believes hasn’t been getting the shine he deserves

• Major magazines have still not realized how great a musician KRIT is

• These magazines are unwilling to advertise KRIT’s brand of soulful, conscious music. They would rather put on the more ‘ignant’ rappers that seem to dominate the South.

• Or maybe his music is simply too deep for most people to understand. They would rather listen to catchy hooks and oversimplified lyrics than Krizzle’s honest lyricism

KRIT is also quoting Ice Cube’s dramatic monologue at the end of film Boyz N The Hood.

While KRIT is usually a humble person, he does not think it should be seen as a negative thing to be proud of one’s accomplishments. After all, KRIT’s worked hard to get to the position he’s in.

The John Travolta reference effects some wordplay with the 1997 Travolta-starrer Face/Off

The Travolta reference also extends even further, as Vincent Vega, Travolta’s character in Pulp Fiction, is a hitman (who therefore would literally blow peoples' face off for a living), and in the film does so (albeit unitentionally) in a famous scene (which drives a good third of the movie’s plot).
