About Allday

Tom Gaynor (born 21 February 1991), better known by his stage name Allday, is an Australian rapper from Adelaide, South Australia. He became active in 2011, when he began uploading his music for free online. Following his works becoming increasingly popular, he moved to Melbourne to pursue a serious career.

Before his break into the Australian rap scene, Allday was once a comedian.

Before making it big he released numerous mixtapes: Noue Yesue in 2011, A Skateboard Soirée with C1, Soon I’ll Be In Cali, & Euphoria in 2012. Songs I Don’t Hate was released in 2013.

His commercial debut EP, Loners Are Cool was released later in that year and featured “Eyes On The Road” and “Girl in the Sun” as singles.

In late 2013, it was announced that Allday had signed with fellow Australian rapper Illy’s freshly established label ONETWO.

2014 saw his debut album Startup Cult shoot to #3 on the Australian charts, garner critical acclaim and land him his first top 40 hit with lead single “Right Now”. The album followed with two more singles “You Always Know The DJ” and “Wolves”.

In 2015 Allday released the oozy mixtape Soft Grunge Love Rap and signed with American label Wind-Up Records. Although the label later went bankrupt, leaving Allday without international representation.

Singles followed in 2016, including “Sides” and “Raceway” which were included on his sophomore studio album Speeding (2017). The album peaked at #6 on the charts and it’s third single “In Motion” featuring Japanese Wallpaper saw great streaming success.

At the end of 2018 Allday released “Wonder Drug,” the lead single from his third studio album. “Protection” later followed in early 2019 after the album’s title, Starry Night Over The Phone had been formally announced. Third single, “Lungs” was released later in the year, followed by the album’s first promo track turned fourth-single: “Restless,” a collaboration with Australian icons The Veronicas. The album, released in July 2019 included another collaboration with Japanese Wallpaper, and a feature from Lonelyspeck.

In December 2019, Allday released ‘All Da Way’, and in April the folling year he released ‘OTT’, two songs that saw Allday retrun to his rap verses.

In October 2020, Allday released ‘After All This Time’, a soft rock song which was a complete change in direction from his previous musiical style. On March 10 2021 Allday released ‘Void’, a sentimental song which was accompanised by the announcement of this fourth studio album, set to be released on the May 28. On April 28 he released ‘Stolen Cars’, which alongside ‘After All This Time’, and ‘Void’ formed part of his fourth album.

Outside of his music career, Allday operates his own YouTube channel, with two series: “Chubby Chronicles” and “24 Hour Discount Buffet.” although he has not been active on YouTube in recent months.
