About B-Legit

B-Legit is the cousin of E-40, both West Coast rap artists from Vallejo, California up in the Northern Bay. His distinct slow flow and enunciation makes him one of the more recognizable rappers to come from the Bay Area. He is one of the pioneers of the “Mobb Music” rap genre. He started his career with “The Click,” the supergroup comprised of family members E-40, B-Legit, D-Shot, and Suga T. After an independent release in 1992, B-Legit took time off to devote to his solo debut, “Tryin' to Get a Buck” in 1993. In 1996 after recording another album with The Click as well as appearing on many other releases, most notably the track “Ain’t Hard 2 Find” which appeared on 2Pac’s album “All Eyez on Me,” B-Legit released “The Hemp Museum.” Following in 2000 was the release of “Hempin' Aint Easy.” B-Legit has remained active all throughout the 2000s, most recently releasing his 2015 album “What We Been Doin.”
