About Billionaire Black

Latice Delphie, better known by his stage name Billionaire Black, was born on October 15, 1991, in Chicago.

Billionaire, also known as Billy, is one of the earliest rappers to produce drill music. He grew up between the Robert Taylor Homes in Bronzeville and the 63rd Street community in Woodlawn, two separate urban neighborhoods on the city’s South Side.

He grew up in a home that valued music. While his younger brother, Richie Jerk, also rapped, his father worked as a disc jockey. Despite being warned not to touch his father’s turntable setup, he used it to learn how to make music.

With his neighborhood friends Choppa Da Goon, F.Dot, and J. Chriss, he was a member of the rap group Buck 20 Brick Boyz as a youngster. However, due to internal conflicts involving unresolved gang politics, he left the group and joined Fly Boy Gang.

His songs “BeniHibachi,” “Bye Bye,” and “Costa Rica” are among the most well-known.

Billy now resides in Arizona and is the leader of a group known as Extortion Gang.
