About Cheetah

Kim Eunyoung (김은영), born May 25, 1990, better known by her stage name Cheetah (치타), is a South Korean rapper currently signed under Ceuda Entertainment.

She debuted in 2010 as a part of the short-lived duo Blacklist and on 2012 with another duo called Masterpiece.

She made her solo debut on June 27, 2014 with the mini album CHEETAH ITSELF, showcasing everybody her true skills.

In 2015, her fame grew exponentially after she participated and won the Unpretty Rapstar TV competition, during which she released one of her most intense and heartfelt songs “Coma 07'” where she expresses her feelings about the accident she had in 2007, being hit by a bus while crossing the street that led her to a critical state with the need for a medically induced coma. Fortunately, she recovered without major complications but only after a long period of rehabilitation. Cheetah has stated that this traumatic experience is what drove her to succeed and “live with no regrets.”

In January 2016, she partecipated as a mentor in the korean survival show Produce 101 and in its later versions.

In 2018, she released her first full-length album 28 IDENTITY in which she revolves around the contrast of beign Cheetah and also Kim Eunyoung, two different personalities and conflicting selves.

In 2020, she released her second mini album Jazzy Misfits, a different creation if compared to her previous works with a much more R&B vibe.
