About Don Trip

Christopher Don Wallace, rather known as Don Trip, is a rapper straight out the gate from Memphis, Tennessee. As pioneer of the Memphis sound, he’s put out a consistent stream of mixtapes, albums, and projects since the mid-2000’s.

At the age of 15, he started rapping, eventually obtaining a massive following as a street rapper.
However, his hit-single “Letter to My Son,” went semi-viral on YouTube, fueling his transition toward mainstream hip-hop.

In 2011, Don broke out with a re-release of “Letter to My Son,” featuring CeeLo Green, regaining some popularity—leading to his signing with Interscope in 2012. Later that year, he was added to the XXL Freshman Class.

After being dropped from Interscope, he found further success independently with his critically acclaimed series of mixtapes titled Step Brothers, in collaboration with fellow Tennessee rapper Starlito.

On June 23, 2015, he released Godspeed,
and The Head That Wears The Crown on July 29, 2016.
