Flowdan

AKA: Marc Veira

About Flowdan

Marc “Flowdan” Veira has long been established as a veteran grime MC. First known for his Rinse FM appearances first dating back to the late 90s (under the moniker “MC Flow”) and his subsequent radio show, the East Londoner later went on to join Wiley’s Pay As U Go Cartel and co-founded the iconic grime crew Roll Deep in 2002, also coining its name.

Leaning into the dark and brooding soundscapes of British electronic subcultures like dubstep and garage, Flowdan has evolved into a truly multi-hyphenate artist, even delving into production as well as vocals in more recent years. He also spearheads the independent label SpentShell, and has signed a number of artists including North/West London trio YGG and Acton’s GHSTLY XXVII.

Several songs he’s featured on have become underground hits, most notably Lethal Bizzle’s MOBO Award-winning 2004 hit “Pow (Forward)”, The Bug’s dancefloor favourite “Skeng” and Fred again.. & Skrillex’s 2023 collaboration “Rumble”. After making his acapellas readily available, his tracks “Horror Show Style” and “Welcome to London” have also spawned countless unofficial remixes, earning him further renown on the club circuit.
