GAIKA

AKA: Gaika Tavares

About GAIKA

Gaika is a Brixton, UK experimental rapper, producer, visual and performance artist. His grime, dancehall, and R&B-inflected songs push radical political commentary about the racial, economic, and social inequalities in the UK and abroad.

Gaika has released 2 independent mixtapes—Machine and Security—as well as a Warp Records-released EP, Spaghetto. He’s affiliated with the Manchester rap crew Murkage and worldwide collective NON.

Gaika is featured on Murkage’s track “TORCHES”, which was banned from Radio 1 play after London authorities charged it with inciting violence.
