George "Shadow" Morton

AKA: George Morton, George F. Morton, and George Francis Morton

About George "Shadow" Morton

George “Shadow” Morton was an eclectic record producer for Red Bird Records in the 1960s, best known for his work with the pioneering girl group The Shangri-Las and the psychedelic pop group Vanilla Fudge. Known for his dramatic overlays of non-musical sounds like motorcycles, seagulls, and train whistles, Morton helped develop the ever more complex sounds of pop music in the 1960s.
