About Johnny J

Johnny Lee Jackson, better known as Johnny J, was born on August 28, 1969 in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. He is best known for his work with legendary rapper/Hip Hop icon Tupac Shakur. His most notable attribute was on All Eyez On Me producing 11 out of 27 tacks on the album and also gave Pac 1 of his 2 #1 hit singles; “How Do U Want It”.
He was also 2pacs go-to producer as they both had the about the same work ethic and always had a beat ready for Pac. That being said, by the time Pac died in ‘96, Johnny J had garnered up well over 100 songs with Pac. Most being released posthumously.

Johnny J met 2pac in ‘92 through Big Syke, a member of 2pacs Thug Life group at the time, and said they “instantly connected”. The video below Johnny J explains how they met and how well they resonated with each other. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8iz2xBj5Iw

He has also stated that he has about 30 unreleased, never before heard tracks with 2pac in the vault in the video below.
