Kottonmouth Kings

The Kottonmouth Kings are an American hip hop “group” (currently D-Loc’s solo project as of 2021) formed in Placentia, California in 1996 by Saint Dog, D-Loc & Johnny Richter. Additional members have come and gone throughout the years, each adding different flavors to the group. The group is known for their activism in favor of legalizing cannabis, and often performing lyrics about smoking marijuana. The group plays hip hop, punk rock & rap rock songs that sometimes incorporate elements of other genres including psychedelic rock, reggae, dubstep, bluegrass & jam band. They’ve described their sound as “rip hop”.
