About Madilyn
Madilyn Bailey was born on September the 2nd, 1992, in the small town of Boyceville, Wisconsin USA
She was early very fond of music, so she started singing and learning the piano and drums.
During a music festival, she realized that her choice was not so convenient to carry
and spread her music around, so she decided to learn by herself the guitar, and it will quickly become her favourite.
Once, she discovered she was dyslexic, and her mum preferred she learn at home rather than at school.
But Madilyn decided to work harder and turn this difficulty to a strength. She finally went to
High School and graduated with mention.
She became a certified nursing assistant, but music was still calling for her.
She was convinced that, in such a small town where she lived, the access to traditional media was impossible. But when she discovered Youtube, it became obvious for her that it
was her way.
In 2009, she posted her first video cover (“Mad World” Adam Lambert Style) and gained
month after month an increasing success, with many breathtaking accoustic covers of popular songs.
In 2013, she performed her first tour in United States and Canada together with
the Boyce Avenue band.
August 2014 was surely a great moment in her life as she married her love James Benrud.
In 2015, as she reached the 2 Million subscribers on Youtube, a French Radio decided to play her cover of Titanium (by David GUETTA and Sia) on an every day basis, which usually never happens for an unsigned artist.
Immediately she got proposals from several French labels, and signed for PlayOn. From this
collaboration will born a magnificent cover album (Musebox).
Radio and TV promotions throughout France and Belgium, follows and increases her fame. Madilyn discovers the charm of Europe.
During all these years, writing her own songs has always been the (not so secret) Madilyn wish. In 2016, she at last satisfies this dream with her first EP (WISER), an album she decided to produce completely independantly with her own team.
The fans welcome to this album is huge, and she is like flying with happiness wings when she discovers that she already reached 3 Million subscribers on Youtube. This success won’t stop growing later on.
In 2018, her original song ‘“Drunk on a Feeling” is featured on the American action-drama TV series Station 19.
