About Psalm One

Also known as Hologram Kizzie, Psalm One (born Cristalle Bowen) is a rapper and musician from Chicago.

Bowen released her debut album Bio:Chemistry while studying chemistry at the University of Illinois. She eventually left her job as a chemist to pursue music full time, signing to Rhymesayers Entertainment in 2006 and becoming the first female to do so.

Psalm One was featured on MTV’s MADE in 2011, mentoring an aspiring female rapper.

In 2013 she co-founded the “alt-rap girl group” The Rapperchicks, which released SHITTY PUNK ALBUM in 2016.

Bowen prides herself on her activism and education efforts.
