Ray Cash, born Wardell Raymond Cheeks on January 14, 1980, is an American rapper from Cleveland, Ohio. Growing up in Cleveland, he was inspired to pursue a rap career after witnessing JAY-Z in concert during the Hard Knock Life tour. Ray Cash gained local radio play with singles like “Sex Appeal (Pimp in My Own Mind)” and “Smokin' and Leanin” in 2005. His hit single “Sex Appeal” garnered attention on platforms like MTV Jams, BET 106 and Park, and XXL magazine in 2006.

His debut album, “Cash on Delivery,” released on June 27, 2006, under Sony Urban Music/Columbia, reached #41 on the Billboard 200. Notably, the album featured the successful single “Bumpin' My Music” with Scarface, peaking at #56 on the Billboard charts. Following this, Ray Cash released his second album, “Rosé Ray,” on September 30, 2009, under M. Stacks Music, featuring the street single “Certified” with Darren Anthony and Curren$y.
