RBL Posse

About RBL Posse

RBL Posse was a Bay Area rap group from the Hunters Point section of San Francisco, California. The group consisted of Chris “Black C” Matthews and Kyle “Mr. Cee” Church. The duo formed in 1991 and released two albums on independent label In-A-Minute Records: 1992’s A Lesson To Be Learned featuring their most popular song, “Don’t Give Me No Bammer,” and 1994’s Ruthless By Law featuring the singles “Bounce To This” and “Blue Bird.”

Mr. Cee was murdered in 1996 in a case of mistaken identity. Black C released the album An Eye For An Eye in 1997 with RBL associate Hitman on major label Atlantic Records. Another album, Hostile Takeover, was released in 2001 before Hitman was also killed in 2003. Black C continued to release music solo.
