Born Shiloh Young, Simba hails from the Montgomery County -DMV area. Simba began to make a name for himself, garnering fair social media numbers until his arrest. Simba is currently in prison on a 24-year sentence for armed robbery and facing other charges.

Simba is a close friend of YBN Cordae, releasing collaborations prior to YBN Cordae changing his name from Entendre. Cordae and YBN Nahmir have said Nahmir reached out to Cordae after becoming a fan of Simba, though Simba has never confirmed.
